Bl**dy Wind
« on: January 11, 2007, 07:55:26 am »
It must be blowing 50-60 mph down here at the moment, in two minds whether to go out or not.

i was like that on Tue, went out - the wind took my ladders right out of my hands.

I managed to land them on the floor ok, but if there had been a person/car there it would have been a very different story.

Its blowing a gale here (midlands) as well - I am itching to go out but there's no way i'll risk it in this weather.

It's driving me mad all of this wind/rain.

Were having the same stormy weather here in Holland am itching to go out but am afraid of doing a poor job....also it has started to rain, that combined with the wind will of course lead to poor results...will watch and make a judgement at midday....

Cheers
Dave.

What a fantastic door knocking opportunity! The wife's keeping me busy, but the rest of you go for it.

I find the most successful canvassing is when it's bright and sunny and the occupant can see how filthy her windows are.

That said it's probably better to at least try rather than sit at home and watch Trish!

I have thought about it previously, but door knocking in this weather !?

You'd have to be completely mad or desperate. Well, thats what i'd think if someone was knocking on my door in this storm.

I was joking about door knocking. I've been on phone to Cleantec ordering bits for my trailer. It's like christmass for me.
I'm also thinking about my leaflet been looking at dp site. Thinking about a logo, and I had an idea that someone else might be able to use what about a knight on a charger with wfp instead of lance.

Im pretty stuffed too. No chance of doing any work of a while me thinks!
I've also got another problem, no money! Only started last spring and although I've built up a decent round i could'nt afford to put anything aside for the winter months.
Next year will be different so I guess I've just got to hang on in there. Anyone else been in this s**t situation?

I have been skint. And made money, but not at window cleaning yet. In theory you are in a very good business and must keep the faith.

Aside from that it must only ;D be a matter of time before you win the old Vic back in a card game, or maybe the Arches will pick up. Keep smiling. ;D
