I am experiencing daily problems with air blockages in my system.
I run two 60 psi pumps connected through a hozelock Y connector through a DI vessel and out seperately to two seperate poles.
I keep having to unplug the hozelock connectors and syphon by mouth to get the water flowing again
I am also losing pressue to a weak dribble on occasions
so I have to repeat the syphoning, sucking process.
It is getting to me now though it would settle down but it is getting worse.
Any advice appreciated.

The air's getting in somewhere, strip and re-do every connection. Or check the filter before the pump for debris

Russ, Have you got another Y connector on the outlet of your DI? Is this how you feed both poles? The more connectors you have, the more sources you have for air leaks.
 Would it not be possible to DI your water before it goes into the tank?
If you did this you would be feeding each pole, directly from it's own pump.
My Y piece has taps on it, so I can isolate each side. This helps when your looking for the leaking connector. Dai

My son is getting a lot of Airlocks as well at the momment.

I put a new flowjet strainer on his setup as the first one leaked and let in air.

He had no leaks but since I remmoved the faulty strainer a couple ofweeks ago I am not sure if Debris as got into the pump at times and that as affected its efficency createing air locks. His tank is new and I could not believe some of the dirt I saw inside is tank today when filling it up. I pulled out a 3" length of silicone, plus a hard piece of plastic.

He has a 400ltr Low tank. With the hose reel on top. I dont know if water makes its way back into the tank when he drives from one street to the next so when he sets up again He gets an airlock. Hes getting mad about it because my van as never had one.

If all your connections are tight and no air can get in you should not have one.

You dont have a loop on your hose from Strainer to pump do you Russ? this can cause Air locks.

Having built my own WFP I had problems with this in the beginning but soon found how to resolve this problem. One thing I have found good is having a clear tube from your tank - pump - hose reel.

This way you can see any air bubbles which you can then rectify easily by tightening the offending loose connection.

I am going to change every connector one by one to see wether the problem continues.
I have purchased two shureflow strainers but they only arrived yesterday so I have not fitted them yet.
I was going to wait until my varistreams arrive hopefully in next couple of weeks.
I take it I should get them fitted straight away??
I have got single pipe from tank to DI  then Y connector and a hose to each pump I have also got the hose from the pump fed through the floor plugs and attached just underneath vehicle bumper with hozelock connectors so that I can lock the van and attach hose  from the outside.
Is there a better connector than the standard orange hozelock type ones that I could use???

I had this problem and found the cause was the hose became kinked at the beginning of the hose reel and the water flow was restricted.

Try using electrical tape to tape over the hozelock connections. Sometimes the pressure pushes the joints apart.
