George Software
« on: January 09, 2007, 06:31:25 pm »
Guy's

I use George and have done for about 3 years now. My question is are any of you having problems with it?

I have a couple that don't seem to go away.

1) - When a customer pays it marks the payment as pre-paid even though it's not and I have allocated the payment correctly??

2) - Sometimes customers seem to disappear?

I am an experienced user and utilise all that the software offers so don't feel it is input error on my side of things?

Any comments welcome

Hi Trev

I've only been using George for a few months now.

The only time it comes up pre-paid is when you up the amount you have been paid for the job. It then asks you if you want to add it as pre-paid or Tip.

I noticed jobs kept disappearing but think you can alter what rounds you can have shown on the screen. I've kept mine all as one round now.

Think i'm right of what i just said.

Trev I had the pre pay problem when I started using it I think it had something to do with where on the program you enter your payments if they are owing, if a job is marked as done already then I now enter payments into the debt section and havent had any problems since.

Does anyone get problems with George printing a daily summary I'm finding not only does it print extra slow (much slower than any other program) it also seems to be in conflict with the wireless print server I have, I usually get an error message saying Document failed to print then it sends the printer offline
Its starting to really Pee me off , just as an after thought this has seemingly started since the latest update

Hi Chris

I used to get that problem but I then got the latest drivers for the wireless (in my case - wireless USB) device and I've not had a problem since.

Also, I didn't only have that problem with just George, I had the same with MS Works.
