Got a text message from a friend saying...

"i'm in london (don't ask) need to speak to u urgently (need a fava) bat flat so phone me on ***** ****** and ask 4 liz. she will pass you on to me.


So silly old me phones it and I got a pre recorded message saying......

"This is Buckingham palace! If you have been asked to phone this number urgently, it is a hoax and you should hang up immediately if not please hold for an opperator.

 

I just text my friend to ask him what that was about and he just replied....

"aye its real!!!! Did you not hold?? You get a woman or a man. I asked if they wanted a window cleaner! They slammed the phone down!  (if you don't ask, you dont get!)

Not as embarressed as you will be when you get the phone bill for ringing that number. This is how these companies make their money, some charge in excess of £5 per minute
