Just had my first call of the year from UFINDUS.

New year new idea:

Hello is that PCB Cleaning
yes it is
Hello, I'm ringing from the upholstery department of UFINDUS, I believe you spoke to one of my colleagues recently about some work we need doing.

I asked her if this was the new script and she played dumb so I said thanks for calling, said goodbye and put the phone down.

She still rang back and said that I was a bit rude.

Having had 27 calls from these c*&%£ last year, I wish they'd F%&* off and die.

 >:( >:(

Other than that, a good start to the year.
 ;D

I found to register with www.tpsonline.org.uk helped eliminate 99% of unwanted calls - that’s saying UFindus has never phoned me - touch wood!

I made the mistake of signing up to another Business Internet Directory a couple of years ago and they got details from them, obviously thought I was a soft touch. once bitten, twice shy as they say.

I have read many comments about Ufindus on here and wonder what the problem is, as I have been with the original company Iomart, for 3 years and never had a problem.

Their products and service has been fine.

I have edited the pages " badly " that's why they are a bit inconsistant and disjointed.

Except when you want to end the contract!  You put it in writing as well as on an email and speak to them on the telephone but, hey, they still continue taking your money!  >:(

In the end I had to call visa to get the money back. When I told the Visa company it was Ufindus/Iomart she said "Oh them again.  We know them very well!"  Apparently they get calls every week.

Disgusted with the bunch of thieves. Be warned!

Darren.

ask them why they don`t deal with google anymore, they make up a load of rubbish and then get the hump when you tell them that you know that  google had them investigated by trading standards and will no longer deal with them,

there is an article from the sunday mail flying around somewhere, the owner was also prosecuted for freud..........

hmm... wonder what its like being prosecuted for freud  ;) sorry gleamservices  ;D

I'm a bit worried now. We've been using them for 2 years and never had any probs, they bring in quite a lot of through traffic to our website and a fair number of enquiries. Having read the above though, not too sure.. what do you thnik, should we cancel now rather than later??

Anyone got an url for one of the stories run on them? Would be interested to read it myself

If it`s bringing in business then stay with them..

if you search on here there are loads of threads about them,  what exactly are they doing for you and how much did it cost,

the last time i spoke to them they offered,
free website hosting for my existing site
3 generic webnames
listing in 9 areas
an 0845 number

I got them down to £99 set up fee and 29.99 a month, I was trying to get them to drop the £99 setup fee but they wasn`t having none of it........ :(

Had over 30 calls from U F*&%£S last year. Even had one of their "Salesmen" tell me to shut up and listen!!!!!
Havent had a call since I went on their website and filled in a form on there which is called "Abuse". It is meant for clients who are getting abuse of their web directory, but if you ask them how the hell you stop them abusing you, and threaten to do a companies seach and phone their managing director at 4am every day for a week, they seem to leave you alone!

Hope this works - it did for me  ;D
