anybody help me ,have got 15ft by 75 ft wooden floor to clean after the the walls & ceiling have been plastered, what is the best method to get them cleaned proper,all help wecomed thanks very much

why wasnt the floor protected by the plasterer???

and once the floor has been cleaned, you might find more damage

the customer wants the floor cleaned & all signs of plaster removed from the floor ie similar to c/c everything washed off and hoovered up,any machines do this sort of thing or any comb of machines do it, i want to do as much for the customer ,could lead to lots of work he own a large house plus lots of prop.

hot water will desolve the plaster it may be a bit harder if its bonding (1st coat)
an acid based toilet cleaner will desolve bonding but i`m not sure how this may affect the floor so go easy.

Hot soapy water and a plastic scraper for the stubborn bits or have a word with your local cleaning supplier and see what they recommend.

Toilet cleaner is IMO way to risky

the room is 15ft  x 75ft, what can i use to hoover up the wet plaster,i see where u coming from with the wet soapy water but how can i get rid of all the water & wet plaster,like i said in my last post good customer, thanks for all the advice so far.

Just nip down to your local cleaning supplies stockist and get some cloths or scrim to wipe it up with and borrow or hire a Numatic wet vac. This will have all the tools you need to vac the water and slurry up.
But watch out though these hire machines have a tuff life so might be a bit worn out.
Its because the builders (but not plasterers) use them all the time to wet vac up the slurry they leave behind.
Dont whatever you do use toilet cleaner like that other p*****k said,it will just go straight down to the original wood.
There is a range of woodcare products at most DIY shops that you just wash and wipe up.
Or of course if you really arent sure of what you are doing walk away from it.

use a wet vac to uplift the softened plaster/sludge.

i'd be careful about how wet you get the floor.

Looking at this thread from a woodcare approach, I do a lot of outdoor decking.
Has the floor got a sealer/finish?, if it has then do not use anything caustic, as you will start to strip the finish off and would then need to strip the whole of the floor/surface. Do not use too hot a water either, (wood hates hot water) try to use cool water, but as a post earlier said, not loads of it you are working indoors so you would need to let the wood completey dry out before putting any finish/sealer back on. I would allow at least 48 hours for it to dry out.
