Car polish on glass
« on: December 06, 2006, 04:35:46 pm »
Today i cleaned a small car showroom that has not been cleaned in five years by a Professional  W/C , In that time they have used car polish to clean there own windows.

The proplem i had was that the windows keep on smearing no matter how hard i tried.

Is there anything i can use to remove the polish from the windows.

Windows where cleaned the trad way using lots of GG3.

Why not try TFR - I've used it before and it seems to remove most things.

Cheers Guys

Where can i buy TFR from?

Ask their (the car dealership's) valeting bay for some to try - all of them should have it. It is used by the valeters for removing the wax film that most new cars are protected with in transit.

I recently bought a new (second hand ) car and started to clean it with WFP and all manor of scratches that have previously been covered up with "chipstick" have started to become uncovered .. so i guess I could summize that pure water will remove car wax no probs at all

chirs as working in a garage b4 window cleaning as my brother owned (spaying cars) the scratches were proberly jus covered up before the car was sold then waxed.

For wax to work properly it has to be time and time again to get a good covering, and when you do it does work :) any car sprying place will not wax your car for you or keep wax anywere near it simply because it it interfears with paint when spaying it can make your car buble after repaiting it thats how effective it is if its a good quilty wax.
