i have been taking it easy for a year now have five  staff working the 40 hr week doing fine with my targets set
even droping the odd council one for  a bigger one when it comes along ,,
we work flat out mon to fri  sometimes the odd sat building  commercial work stady aswell life is cool 
but ..........you knew that was comming didnt ya lol
the phone is going off the cuff with council  houses which i try to avoid but how can you say no when they say my neighbour wants it as well in fact the old guys have not been seen in a year you know you will get a load of new work i have tried even charging nearly double what the old guys took  but still end up with this work
is this what i am destine to do for the nxt thirty years
help   
to me its just anouther day at the office but its the hassel of adding more staff going through the myre just for council estates  not that im a snob but where do u draw the line
do any off you guys get like this
becase the squad i have hand picked over the years is good why mess it up  do u get where im coming from our is it muck in get another van and go for it again  hire fire get a good staff member after six crap ones  am i getting complacent in my old age our is it a phase im going through any window cleaning shrinks plz help lol

I have this situation usually a couple of times a week. I always keep a network of other WC in my Mobile that when I say sorry I cannot do that job (usually because it is a residential job) I then soften it by saying, but I can give you the Number of someone who may be able to. Works a treat.

i do pass on my fare share of work but have you ever noticed that when it comes to returning the favour  the referals are thin on the ground
so if i give a other a hundred quids worth of work i should expect at least a nice big house for that say a 20 quid one if they dont do that area but how often does this actually happen
what if any is there ever a good trade off and what do u guys expect in return

Nothing in return. Just respect and it's always better to have friends in your area rather than stand offs

mfw i see you are just up the road  how bad has weather been latley  was going to build an ark last week for something to do lol
i have done this in past but the other window cleaners are all to biz chasing ind stuff
i do both so they always se one of my vans local and think thats all i do

neil i can see your point to a certain degree
but respect dont pay the bills to be blunt i did not get anything handed to me on a plate
so why should they
i love net working with people but it has to keep both partys intrested dont you think

same situation here regarding passing work on
i have passed a few to another wc with the agreement he would do the same ,but guess what the favour has never been returned,now i dont pass him anything

if you dont want the job, YOU DONT WANT THE JOB

so you pass it on to another WC'er, you shouldnt expect anything back in return, as you didnt want the job

i dont see the issue here, you pass the "crap" onto some1 else, BUT you expect nice work ( 20 quid houses are nice ) in return for crap work that you dont want


*** i know they are not all Crap, its just they are not as desirable as 20 quid houses that take 30 mins to do ***
