The 38ft Exel Universal pole that we stock is a very cheap introduction to high level work and ideal if you have a limited use for work this high. Often customers have bought this pole for just one or two contracts they have. I personally would not use it for extended work periods (although I used to for many years!)
For work where you are going to be doing a lot more high level work, the Facelift 6x6ft glass fibre pole is another option (We have all facelift poles on a special at the moment, with Free Delivery)
34ft (Reach) 6x6ft Sections 10" Gooseneck 14" Brush Only 4.05Kg - Complete with Brush & Gooseneck £425
This pole weighs a useful 2.35kg less than the Exel pole but does cost twice as much. Whilst it is lighter than the Exel it is a few feet shorter and is more flexible than the exel. If you want it in Carbon Fibre it eliminates the flexibilty and brings the weight down to 3.08kg. (34ft Reach 6x6ft Sections 10" Gooseneck 14" Brush Only 3.08Kg - Complete with Brush & Gooseneck £675)
The other option that I personally use is a Super-Lite 35, this is based as many know on high quality Carbon-Fibre Fishing Pole technology. For extended use no other pole is as easy to use (I have personally tried most of them). The SL-35 weighs 1.65kg complete with brush and Professional gooseneck. Whilst it has the disadvantage of not being telescopic it has the advantage of being modular, so you only use the sections you need and you add sections as you need them to go up to 60ft. At 23ft (4 sections) it weighs just 950 grammes, including brush and gooseneck, you can literally use it all day without feeling any strain. The SL-35 is a similar price to the Facelift pole.
Another option is the Brodex Eco-Lite as has been stated, which are good value, they have the 35ft Carbon on offer at the moment (no I'm not on commission!), I have not found out the exact weight of these but from memory they are a bit heavier than the Ionics CF Ergo-Lite but lighter than the CF Universal, or the Ionics Ergo-lites which are also very good poles if not a little on the pricey side.
The other options are the Carbonized and Unger Carbontec poles, both very similar in concept. They both have the advantage of being modular but are relatively heavy in use. The unger is about 6.5kg at 35ft.
I hope that the information supplied has been of some use to you.
Please note that a lot of the opinions above are based purely on my own use with these poles within the framework of my own commercial contract work and in no way represent a complete assessment or a final evaluation of all the equipment mentioned.
