£25 for the outsides

£25 - £35 for the insides.

Is it a one off mate or a regular clean & how long did it take to clean?

thing is i dont know what to charge !

??? ??? ???  If you've already done the job what's the problem?  You know exactly how long it took, how much travelling etc so there's no guesswork involved.  Charge for your usual rate, plus any premium for waiting for payment etc.

Cheers,

Ian

Depends what the prices are like in your area.

Around here you couldn't ask more than about £15-18 for the 17-odd outside windows.
I'd be looking at about 30-35 minutes I reckon.
If you can get more, or it took longer, then go for it and ask lots...

I reckon that would take me 30- 40 mins at the most to do the outside ,

Hi stu , hi dave , hi all !

It isnt a problem , this is the first time i have had to look at a travel charge !

It took 2.5 hours , and an hour to get there and back .

I usually try to work at £25 per hour , so i was looking at £87.50

With the travel charge it just seems to be high !

Since you have already cleaned the place and it was the first clean, bill them for £87.50. Customers fault for not agreeeing to a price before the clean started.  then when you clean the place next time round drop the price down a bit cos you should be quicker.

a plummer or a electrican would not think twice at charging there hourly rate so why should you.

They even charge you for ringing your dam doorbell!!

For what it's worth, I would put a bill in for £45 first time round, swallow the extra time involved travelling and sussing out the job.  They weren't there, so they don't know what was involved.

Guage things by their reaction, for next time.

If it's good, drop it to £35 for a regular good job, if they only want you now & then keep it at £45.

You get what you want in the long run, just avoid their initial "good old English swallow", (GULP!, in case you were wondering). ;)

Pj , AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO DO THAT , I wont lower to that cos it wont be regular , it was a one off , subbed to me through a small com cleaning firm , they are going to be putting a lot of work my way by the sounds of it , so i think i should be taking them for what i can while i can , i get the feeling that as they get bigger a wfp system will be in the pipeline for them .

If you charge them £87.50 they might not chuck anymore work your way at all. I agree with squeaky clean on his price, if you need the work of this cleaning company go in a bit less to maybe get a lot more.
