As an issue prompted by the recent topic (yet again) on Alltecs Ultimate master. What other Alkaline solutions that self neutralise on drying out do you use or know about, that are suitable for the high heat of TMs.

Prochems fibresafe gold is self neutralising ( i think)
if your worried about bringing back the Ph to neutral why not use a neutral pH detergent.
as long as this detergent rinses out the high PH pre-spray then it'll be OK

What I was really getting at was not an alkaline prespray that dries neutral but an alkaline solution you put through the machine (like Ultimate Master) that dries neutral. I know this goes against ther grain of a lot of pure water rinsing solutions, but on those jobs where its deemed necessary to put an alkaline detergent (There Ive used the word) through the machine - I prefer one that does dry neutral. So which other ones are there out there? If any!

I dont think anyone is going to come with any on this one - it looks like as I thought, Ultimate Master IS the only Alkaline Detergent for machine use, that dries neutral.

dave this is taken off Prochems website:
Fibresafe Gold
A safe and effective powdered extraction detergent for wool and stain resistant nylon carpets. Approved by the Woolsafe Organisation for use on Wool and Wool-rich carpets. Fibresafe Gold incorporates a self neutralising pH system which reduces the risk of colour bleed, texture change and resoiling. Yellow powder with green apple fragrance.
so this might fit your criteria for a self-neutralising detergent.

Mike,
The woolsage gold is ph 8, U/M 9.8, both on the Alkaline side but quite far apart really.
I guess we would all like an ideal one, which might be:- goes down (through the machine) with enough alkaline strengh to beat the dirtiest/greasy carpet but quickly changes to neutral prior to drying, leaves no residue or trace, is non sticky and has a pleasant odour.
