Use to have a warm water WFP system when they say HOT water system this is the wrong word because if you put hot water on cold glass it weakens it or the glass can crack!

Know a wfp in our town who hase one, the complete kit in a trailer and its stood unused, he says it cost a lot to run, and the water is cool or cold by the time it reaches the glass.

He now uses one of our Aquapro ARO400 ROs with a couple of 1000 litre bulk tanks, and fills his vans from that.

Not me, but I've got an indirect boiler that produces hot water indirectly from the engine for WFP and it's a lot cheaper to initially buy and cost nothing to run as it doesn't burn diesel but uses the free heat that would normally be dispersed through the radiator into the air outside.
How hot do the thermopure systems get out of interest??? do they get up to 80 degrees Celsius or above???

Can you explain how this provides you with warm purified water throughout the day?

And how it performs against the glass, on your brushes, connectors and hoses?

right my thermo system is the bizz but its had its problems ,the water too hot
filters cost too much diesel too much!! blah blah

But now its sorted firstly changed the di filter for a 25 litre one which i have not changed for 9 months  then changed the makebelieve water softner for a 30 litre
unit which does the house at the same time now the tds before the ro is 2 ppm whereas before it was 9/12 so the resin hasent got much to do. Then changed
the salt backwash into a carbon filter with a new 10 inch particle filter joining it
and this is the big one which ever the setting was for the heater it was always too
hot i have broken some windows 3 to be precice so now i have bought a thermostatic control for under floor heating temp range 30/50 deg it is totally
controlable i find the 35/ 40 to be about best then lastly joined a 30 metre roll
of 6mm yellow pipe too the end of the hose so the darn thing dont get stuck everywhere and a lot easier too roll up and i use vikan brushes not one month wonders from ionics?? >:(

I agree that ionics brushes are not as good as they should be, but it's the hot water that really wrecks them.  There's always a trade off.

My indirect 75litre boiler I bought from www.surejust.co.uk (marine specialist for making boilers for boats).
I draw water from my fixed mobile tank fitted in my van to my normal window cleaning pump which is only 75psi so as to avoid damaging my 'pressure relief valve)indirect boiler) which is then pumped to an 'accumulator tank (to prevent the pump from working overtime).
From my accumulator tank it is then pumped through the indirect boiler and then onto an expansion tank.
From the expansion tank I then have the choice of pumping it through to my hosereel for window cleaning or to pump it back into my secured tank fitted in the van.
The heat from the boiler is achieved by connecting radiator hoses from the indirect boiler to the radiator hoses that run in and out of the radiator from the van.
Because I have a twin coil boiler I can draw heat from  2 supplies. 1 is connected to my radiator. The 2nd one I intend connecting up to 2 water solar panels which I'll be fitting on the roof of my van during summer use! It is also possible to connect the boiler up to a diesel heater like the 'webasto' that I believe Ionics use or to an 'eberspacher' diesel heater.
The boiler also has a 2kw heater element fitted in the boiler which I can connect up to the electric if need be BUT I must ensure that the boiler is completely full before using the electric immersion appliance for safety reasons.
I read how to fit the boiler and all necessary connection on the internet under plumbing installations.
The 2 resons why I use an indirect boiler is because I do a lot of travelling because a lot of my work is right out in the rural countryside so I have plenty of chance to draw hot water from my radiator and also because the 650litre tank I use for window cleaning is so extremely well insulated with silver foil type bubblw wrap that my water will stay sufficently hot for at least 24 -36 hours. It's better insulated than any household storage tank. The insulation I use is called 'Thermawrap' and you can buy it from www.thermawrap.co.uk  or Tel.01909 721-662

Well, slap my thigh and call me Mary! :o

Now that is an answer and a half.  Best reply I have read for about a year!  And I think it will take me that long to really absorb.  If you worked all that out yourself, Easyclean, you are a smart guy.  Well done!  And thanks for the explanation
