I went on a quotation today......... cleaning of a leather suite.
2 seater and a 3, nothing major .... very straight forward.
I gave in my quote and she said she could get it cheaper. I quoted £ 95 which I thought was reasonable. Her other quote was from  quite a big company £70 !!!!!!!!!!!!!  She asked the guy how it was to be cleaned and he replied ` Dove soap and hot water ` !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW      .
Now this company is IICRC, PRO CLEAN, NCCA, WOOLSAFE !!!! What do you guys think of this???................ I had to laugh!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, they didn`t get the job.   I think she will invest in a bar of Dove at 49p!!

Can`t say too much Paul but they`re big and Chester based. I've heard this off two seperate people over the last couple of months

why not use dove soap & hot water? its Ph Neutral and is been rinsed off

perhaps they know something we don't

I agree its probably feesable but to tell the customer??? They would go and clean it themselves.

I was always taught that if it is safe for your skin its safe for leather
and i've also been told that dove soap is indeed an excellent product to
use on leather,  but i've never tried it myself.

I think I know who you mean.
If it is who I suspect, then they come across very good,right up to the point of action.
They can talk the talk but dont walk the walk

We then pick up the dissapointed customers.

Maybe all those expensive cleaning products we buy for leather are in fact................................................dove soap.

Yes Mark but my point is would you tell the customer you are going to charge them £90 plus that you will clean their £ 2000 suite with a bar of 49p soap!
