what van

am looking to buy a new van an be able to carry a 1000 litre tank just was wondered what was the best van for the job? any ideas would be great, cheers was thinking of a short wheel base sprinter but not sure if it would put the van over the legal weight.?

I have a Merc Vito and it's great.....but I don't think you could carry a 1000 litres in that....but if you got the sprinter (that;s if the legal lim was OK) then go for it merc's make great van's....can't go wrong

A 1000 litre water tank when full will weigh in at a 1000kg, so a mercedes vito is a definate no no, add the rest of your gear yourself and your fuel and any passengers you will be up around at least the 1500kg mark.
Try a Transit 190 theres plenty of them about at very sensible money.

you can get away with a 900ltr tank in a Transporter.  If you really want to go for 1000ltr then I'd definitely go for a Merc Sprinter

Transit 300 can carry 1 1/2 tonnes 100 bhp lovely vans too

I know the sprinter mwb can take 1.75t

I think ionic say there 1000 ltr tank has a pay load of 1.3t when full

Hi cost effective the new ldv max safest in it class van of the year

my mate has one £12500 i have just said yes to one year old for £9000
sould be easy to pick up one olds as ldv leased out loads direct and the dealers get them to sell on
