Steve,
On the mini poles I preffer the 10" vikan, Its great on removing snail trails, I tried a Gazza brush on the mini but I did not think it scrubbed as well as the vikan, Weight is not an issue so the vikan wins it on the mini pole.
On a 18' pole I hate the vikan, Its to heavy and If I were to use one all day long My arms would suffer with RSI because of haveing to lift off the glass to rinse. I preffer the Gazza brush because its so light and I rinse with it on the glass.
I have just bought an 18' extender pole from reachandclean last week, thats the one with the blackbrush in the pic. The pole is very light being an extender pole and the brush is as nearly as light as my Gazza brush. I get very little whip on the pole cos the brushs are very light. This is pushing the Gazza brush very close indeed. In some ways I prefer the new black brush because it as lower bristles in the middle which are stiffer and softer bristles on the outside. So you get a better scrub action on the windows and you can still leave it on the glass to rinse.
But the bristles on the outside are 1 cm to long and too soft, Plus they are not crinkled like a Gazza brush.I think the brush will struggle to maintain its shape for longer then a couple of months. If they had the crinkle bristles of the gazza brush on the outside and knocked off half a cm on the inner bristles. It would wipe the floor with every other brush on the market. It would have lightness, a good scrubing action, the ability to rinse on the glass mixed with the longevity a good brush should have whilst maintaning its shape.
The Shredder brush beats every other brush going for Con roofs. The bristles are a little to stiff to make it good on glass and frames and it could damage paintwork if windows are not upvc.
