I work that area. Hands off my patch you fiend !!

I actually live in Crawley but do a lot of my work in surrounding towns because there are a lot terraced houses in Crawley with no rear access.
There are some OK places in the area. I tend to think in terms of £1 a window hole with a minimum £10. I add 50% for first cleans usually but charge double if they state that it's a one off. On some places I charge more if I think the area will carry it. However, I have had my downfall on this before when someone from one area recommends me for another area - oops !! I don't usually charge more for leads these days since I went onto WFP. I don't like to say too much about hourly rates on here but with WFP, good access, and decent size properties, it's possible to fly along once you've got past the first clean or two.
Some of the work I've had a long time and it has been allowed to become underpriced.
I don't regard the area as anything special within the southeast generally. You get all the usual hassles of locked gates etc (I don't do them these days). You can get some nicely priced work if you're prepared to put in the leg work and at some places you will struggle to get the rate you want. It helps that it is a low unemployment area - mainly due to the airport.`
