Three months ago i buy a hand tool from a t/m seller for my truckmount and after using it on half a dozen jobs it devolps a problem in the fact the trigger sticks on .On returning the tool i am charged for the repair as i have used too much heat through the tool. This amazes as it was sold for use with a t/m and my t/m does not produce as much heat as the t/ms of the company that sold me the tool. unbeliveable.

Nothing is unbelievable. Found this (A purchaser who is a consumer, i.e. is not buying in the course of a business, can alternatively request a repair or replacement.) thought everything had a warranty.

Steve are you sure it was not too much pressure rather than heat?
Why I say this is because from time to time I tend to blow valves on my CFR upholstery tool when I'm too idol to go out side and turn the pressure down.
Just a thought mate

Hi Jack,
Really depends on which machine your using.
Portables have less flow rate than most T/Ms,
The CFR type of tool I have is one that was cobbled together by a mate I once knew. The valve I have fitted is rated at 500 psi but at times it will blow the rubbers, this could have something to do with the flow rate of my machine though. Normally I run the tool at between 150 and 200 psi
