Chewing gum floors
« on: June 08, 2004, 02:17:28 pm »
Am thinking of, starting a chewing gum removal service, from carpets, problem is how do you go about pricing up. by the day, by the hour, or by the area. anybody out there doing it, if so what do you charge.
Also anybody know of the best machine on the market.  ???
Light bulbs don't give off light,,, they suck in the dark.
And when they no longer work it's because they are full.

Griff,

The price will differ from company to company so it's really up to you what you intent to make from the job and trust me it can be back breaking at times.

With regards to equipment you may want to look to the following sites:
Express cleaning
Steam clean
Tech clean
3g cleaning

Hope this helps

Thanks Alex, I know how back breaking it is, have done some for a friend, he owns a carpet cleaning business, the place had there own small size steam cleaner, this is what put me on to the idea.
Will check out those sites you gave me.
Do you think £25 an hr with me supplying the machine and chemicals would be too much to ask for.
Regards
Griff

What area you working? All depends on this as prices change from north to south so you may find you’re too cheap down south or to expensive up north.

With you offer internal and external services?

Griff,

Best thing to do I believe is cost the following:
Equipment
Chemicals
Transport
Petrol
salary

If the above cost is within £25 brillant, if not just up your rate.

All the best and good luck fella
Alex
