Hi all,

I have been asked to clean the ceramic tiles around a private swimming pool in a house and the shower rooms off, they are like the old sunken trays that you had to stand in as you went into the old type swimming pools, so I spose that they would have to be done manually.

They are not particularly dirty or greasy although they have never had them cleaned since it was built, probably in the 70's judging by the dark green colour (?) of them.

Any advice would be welcome, I have a truckmount, HWE and a floor scrubber.

Would it be worth hiring a scrubber/dryer? They are well off so it would be worth while.

hi i would hire a scrubber dryer a work in a gym and we use a scruber dryer around the pool side tiles a deck brush works to but will take you ages as for the the other trays put some descaler or lime scale remover in them use a scrubbing brush and rinse well good luck

yep i used to work in a health and leisure club and i used to clean the changing rooms areas, showers and poolside. we used a scrubber drier and a product called virasol, good cos it worked well with hot (or cold water, as was the case with the s/d). Virasol is produced by Clover and can be picked up from any good cleaning suppliers
