Replacing Motors which wire is which?
« on: June 02, 2004, 01:54:42 am »
Can you help the reluctant repair man once again.

Thank god I have a spare machine. Even if it is only a Rug Doctor Pro Wide track.

When replacing a motor you have two black wires coming out of the motor. You have a blue and a brown wire.

Does it matter which side the blue and brown wires go.

PS getting Pact test when finished
No such problem with earth wire.

I think if I remember correctley the right black wire comes from behind where the exhust is.
The Left is at the front.

So is it Blue left   Brown Right.

Would motor go round wrong way if wired wrongly.

Many thanks for help on motor prices.

There is about £90 difference between top and bottom qoute.

nearly the price of a motor.

All qoutes were for same motor Lamb Amteck heavy duty.

Thats why I asked did not want boom.  Also one motor appeared to be wired one way and the other the oposite.

And as I failed entry into Airforce to be allowed to wire atom bombs because i answered a similar question wrongly.

What all this serial and parrell wireing  stuff I just want to switch on and suck water.

That is when I am cleaning carpets
