Inside cleaning advice
« on: May 25, 2004, 07:35:24 pm »
I clean the windows at my local gym (Fitness First).
and the boss has asked me to do a one of clean involving cleaning dust from above air vents steel girders and lights.
There is quite a large build up of dust.
Are there any machines specially for this? or is it a case of get up there with a duster?
Any help or advice would be great thanks.

Hi,

If there is a build up of heavy dust around air vents and on beams etc, it is often a sign that the filters on the air-conditioning unit need changing!.
Best to hire a backpack vacuum cleaner and put dust sheets down, and then check your public liability insurance, also wear a safety harness and mask and ensure that you comply with health & safety!.

good luck
