Its one of those questions how long is a piece of string.

You can make your own for about £600.

If you were to buy off the shelf for a cheap system with poles and filters would probably come to about £1000.

And then you can pay anything up to about £7000

I think if you want quite a good system with good filters, storage tank, descent poles would be to allow at least £2000

The taxmans good at averages. Maybe there is no average, I prefer cheap so I diy.
But I guess if you wanted a basic system off the shelf maybe £1200. But then you need to connect the water plant etc. and then there is the learning curve.
Do it anyway, you wont fall off.

You can be set up for less then £1000.00 if you know what you want.

I am Currently priceing up wfp for setting up a van system for my son. Its around the £700 mark, But I do have spares that I am giving him, and I allready have a static tank with a 40 40 RO.

I am seeing a fabricator tommorw to see how much it will cost to build a stainless steel frame to my design and fit it for me. If its around the £400 mark I will let them build the frame, but it will put many manufatures of wfp to shame.

Question: How long is a piece of string?
Answer: Twice the length from the centre to the end !!!
Now you know how to answer that useless question!
