TDS

My tds is running at 010-013 at the moment, is this ok to clean with? Whats the highest you can clean with?

Time to change your resin. Some say you can go to 010 but if it moves to 001 i change my resin.

we only ever use 000. You can get away with higher on some windows but you are better safe than sacked!

why colour change?  Its 3 times the price and tends not to last as long!!

Readings can be a bit hit and miss anyway, I got an inline that tells me it's  0 tds  and a handheld that says 2 tds, got some 342 tds calibration solution that only reads 342 tds at exactly 25 C, its actually reading 362 tds now at 14 C. So does that mean at lower temperatures your tds reading is higher anyway? ???

I agree, however I recently never checked my TDS for a couple of months (I know, I know) and when I did found out I was cleaning with a TDS of 12 ppm.

I checked some of my work and it was great; no problems.

Better safe than sorry though.  I change my resin when I know my TDS has went over 000.

Absolutely not - you can replace it with a di vessel and refill it with it with dowex/r+h or purolite.

  You're going to laugh at this, spoke to a guy who bought an Ionics system.

  As him how much resin he uses as I heard on this forum that you can change
  the vessel. Got told he does not use resin at all ???

  He then said all that I change is the carbon filter and a brown filter ???

  Did they not tell him anything at Ionics, also went on he has a 5yr guarantee
  on the filter as he paid £2k extra.

  That confused me more, just walked away.
