Have left all the usual stuff. Got home once and found I still had the customers front door keys  where she'd gone out and asked me to lock up and put them through the letter box and I automatically stuck them in my pocket.

Two stupid things ive done:

1. Left my ladder racks in the back of the van one day after finishing at a house. Finished it, put the ladders on the roof, chatted to the customer for a minute then got in my van and drove off. oops!!!! Crash, bang wallop ladder carnage!!!  Thank god I was only driving down a country lane and not down the A1 !! Muppet !!

2. Left my belt/ pouch whatever they're called ( the thing that holds your applicator and squeegee) at someones house then drove about 10 miles to another village to do 6 more houses..couldnt be bothered to go back and get it, thought it would be easy enough holding an applicator, squeegee, cloth and scrim whilst up a ladder..er...no way..what a nightmare. I wont make that mistake again!!

Left a pole resting against the bedroom window sill of a house. When I got home the woman phoned me to say I'd left it behind and I arranged to pick it up the next day. Overnight the temperature dropped severely and when I went to collect it, I couldn't move it as it had frozen to the window sill. I had to get my ladder and pour hot water over the brush head to release it and left it on someones flat roof for half a day to thaw the water frozen in the hose running inside the pole.
Today someone left the keys to their house in their back door. I took the keys out of the door and put it in my pocket whilst I poled the door (to avoid any possible chance of snapping their key in the door) with the intention to put the key straight back. They made me a cuppa and before I knew it I was driving off down the road when I realised I still had their keys in my shirt pocket. One quick U-turn 5 minutes later to find them hunting around for their keys as I strolled in waiviing their keys in front of me with a cheeky smile on my face and having to appologise for the inconvenience I had caused them!
Losing a customer is like waiting for the next bus, another one will come along shortly!

left a trailer system (twice) and the van (once), don't ask me what I was doing or where I was going - I have no idea, the time with the van WE ended up ringing for a taxi before remembering that we had our own transport!!  HAHAHA!! :D
