What size ladder
« on: May 20, 2004, 06:55:17 pm »
I want to get a bigger ladder for gutter cleaning as my ladder i use for window cleaning is only a 3mtr double

What size ladder would be the best size for the majority of houses for gutter cleaning.

And should i go for a large double or a triple ladder

I have 3.5m triple section ladders (trade duty) that I bought last september.

They cost £177 from Lansford, they would probably reach all the gutters you'd need (other than for 3 story houses, but I would NOT advise doing guttering at this height)

I got a pole system 3 months ago, and havent used them since I got it, so I could sell them to you if you wanted them.  I used them for 6 months.

PM me if you're interested.

Whatever you get, make sure that you can seperate the sections and use them independently (with these you can) as not all 3 sec ladders do this and it is VERY important for WCing.

Thanks for your replies

I keep seeing about pole's on here i have never used one, well not a large pole i have a short 6ft extendible.

I like the idea of a pole but how do you clean a gutter properly when you can't see what you are doing.

and can you clean them aswell with a pole
