Any ideas on how to clean either of these? to be honest i think i may just scrap the carpet.

Its my own carpet, my other half is a hairdresser and managed to get red hairdye on it today
So i thought i would give it a clean as it needed one anyway, so far apart from the normal clean iv tried pog and accetone with little effect.

Then as it was nearly dry my son started playing on it blowing his toys about with the airmover : and now i have blue patched everywere were the dye from his jeans has gone into the carpet

This is a perfect example of why you should keep your customers off the carpet untill its dry, as if this was a customer and didnt get a call back untill the next day i would have thought this was my fault.

Dont look like hair dye's,looks more like kids paints.

You will be able to tell if it will come out if you get a transfer from a spotter.

I would use eco spotter then hot water extract after plenty aggitation.

If that doesnt work try Red rx with heat transfer.

If that dont work try acetone,short dwell time then extract.

If that dont work then, bin them

Jay, She works from home and was doing someone hair blond with bright red streaks, why? i dont know but there you go.

Paul, was getting transfer using the pog but it slowed up in the end and im not getting any further, iv tried the accetone but nothing.

Havent even started on the dye from the denim jeans, to be honest i cant be bothered coz im sure i will be better of with a new one
wich leads me to my next question, wheres the best place to buy a new carpet?

If you got some out with pog them the rest will come out.The red will be the hardest followed by Yellow and Blue should be quite easy.
Did you give the acetone long enough?.
Red Rx with heat teansfer will do it but it may take 3 or 4 goes.

Pog took of the surface and worked the first couple atempts and i managed to get it from red to pink but its going no further

If its wool or wool blend then end of story ( but would still try heat transfer). If it is nylon you have a good chance if its polyprop then no probs

It is loop pile.

Red if you do decide to claim on household insurance for a new carpet then dont tell em ya wife is a hairdresser from home-they will say to claim off her liability
