Pub cleaning

Hi peeps,
I HAVE POSTED THIS IN CARPET CLEANING BUT WONDERED IF ANYONE CAN HELP ON THE HOOVER QUESTION?
Have been carpet cleaning 5 years and thought I was a bit of a pro but wanted to see if anyone can help us with a pain in the arse pub carpet.
Basically we have the cleaning contract for a pub, we do all the general cleaning on a daily basis, but go in once a month to clean the carpets. Originally it was every other month but it gets so bad its now monthly.
The pub is a quiet place in the day with adult drinkers but at night it get trashed buy students and youngsters. After cleaning the carpet it looks great but within a few days the hoover starts sticking to the carpet and it looks grubby again.
We use pre spray gold as a pre spray and then Heat wave to extract. I was wondering would the results last longer if we use Ultra Pac still but extract with Fabric Fibre Rinse? Any other suggestions would be great. Our machine is a Pro Chem Blazer XL.
Also we use a henry hoover but is there a more industrial type hoover anyone has used that may help get better results??
Thanks
Dave

Pub carpets have always been a pain in the ar*e, i can remember years ago cleaning a pub carpet with a black pad on a rotary!! it was as hard as a brick
, we also use to get the vacs sticking, but that's the sugar in the beer, never again, to much hassle.
good luck

Hi,
As Chris has stated it is the beer thats causing you the problem, I do not think that any vac will help a great deal, we use sebo bs36 in the pubs that we have, and find that using a commercial vac over a henry helps a little. (if only to assist your cleaners get the job done quicker and easier)
Sorry this is not much help, and I will also be interested in what others comments maybe.
Kind regards
Paul

hi
you might be better off pre-treating the carpet useing a vax that puts only warm water into the carpet and then sucks it up straight away before using any chemicals on the carpet. This should solve your problem.
kind regards Paul

The vax products are very poor in my opinion, hot water through a commercial carpet cleaning machine, first, no chemical, then clean as normal, this might help to break down the sugar level, then clean and treat as normal.
