i have seen alot of posts about rinsing techniques etc. one way i have excellent results everytime and i wish someone told me this a year ago is....

 once you finish scrubing the glass go back to the top of the glass go left to right along the top a few times till you see a wall or wave of water coming down the glass then i take the brush about an inch off the glass and chase the wave down with the two jets of water.... jobs a good un  .
beading glass i do the same with with excellent results too

This has always been standard practice for us. It works. You can't do it if you are a brush-on rinser though.

Does your brush ever leave patterns of drops of water on hydrophillic glass?

I also rinse with the 'brush on', but if I see 'patterns', I'll rinse again with the brush off.

What do you do?

I've noticed on one window that where the 'patterns' were left, spots occurred in the same spotting pattern.

I suspect that this is something to do with the pure water being contaminated; affecting the surface tension of the water; hence the patterns and subsequent spots.

Am I right?

when you say patterns do you mean smal wispy side ways lines of water bead left on the glass,

or once you have rinsed you see like a wavy patterns in the last sheet of water on the glass?

Do you leave them, or go over them?

I find (maybe it's my brush?) certain types of glass, when rinsing brush-on, always leaves patterns from the brush.  IE beads of water that mimick where the brush head has been.

I used to just leave them and I've never had any complaints, but on one occassion I did an inside job, after leaving said 'patterns' on the window from WFP the outsides, and I saw spots in the same pattern as the drops were left.

So I've been more cautious since.  When I've left a pattern when rinsing 'brush on', I rinse again, 'brush off'.

Does the brush you use leave 'patterns' on certain types of glass, and if so, what do you do?

Hi Tosh,

Yea it does ocassionally and im exactly the same, quick splash off the glass

I use Ionics and can't fault them for results (not how long they last) what about you mate, what brush are you using?

Do you get that pattern happen often, I only ask because it doent happen that often to me. I think it might be down to technique a more side to side rinse would create that, is that how you rinse?

its ok just changed the resin cause it was leaving streaks. i'm a newbie to window cleaning. i always thought that, that was how everyone rinsed windows.

To be honest I would have thought that was obvious.
I always imagined that is how you would rinse with a pole, and I don't even do it...

Guess I'm just practically minded.

How comes you dont use wfp on most of your work mate?

I rinse similar to that but with brush on glass but tilted.
I never lift the brush off the glass.
