Anyone used either the CFR35 or the Bravo spotting machines?

Any comments on either or both of these machines please?

I have a Bravo spotting machine, all I can say about it with my limited inexspierence is that it does and has performed exactly like it said on the promotional leaflets.

The write up says it can be used on upholstery, personally i'm only interested in spot cleaning carpets, but have you ever tried doing upholstery with it?

Yes mate,
I did my car with it and it was ok, but they dont hold much in the water tanks I think to do a 3 piece suite etc.

had several spottoer and find the karcher/escorct hire machines great ( someone selling them for £250 on ebayy at the minute, would'nt  want to clean any carpet bigger than a couple of sq meters, but for spots and stains it's great.

Still using one now that i bought 7 years ago and other than a wipe with a damp cloth it has need nothing doing to it.

solutions now sell the scorpions baby brother the mighty one. Cool machine got a 3 stage super vac and a 100 psi pump.

 I had a look at the mighy one. Very impressive power, but the only problem is if it breaks down it's to much hassle and time to return it to the supplier for repair

Suppose it depends where you are that could relate to any supplier!

I use the hot shot but that is also from solutions so you will still have the same logistical problems but surely a courier costs the same no matter where you are.

Hi Guys,

I used Extracta machines for years and when I suffered breakdowns  I was at the mercy of Extracta's customer service( which was generally very good ), delivery companies and my limited engineering skills.

Since I have sourced locally I can drive , get it sorted out and be back at work the same day.

I am a great believer in buying locally.

Hi Goron ,

Yes you do Goron but Alltec , Woodbridge and Ashby's are only about  70mins drive for me so a better option.

It's also much more enviromentally friendly for us all to drive less miles.

The idea behind the CFR is good and it performs well.  However it is badly put together.  The waste hose is a pain and easily develops holes, whilst the seal to the waste tank comes unstuck and needs to be replaced. I wouldn't get another.

Ive got the cfr35 and its good and bad.

The pumps go quite often and ive replaced the silly extendable hose which goes taut with suction with a normal one. The front castors also fell off as they are held on with one nancy bolt, so they also got replaced as well with some man ones.

But it does perform well.

Gave my Bravo it's first outing today. Spot cleaning carpets on an end of tenancy clean.

Great bit of kit, saved me loads of time.
