Hi everyone
I was just woundering when you guys are cleaning using HWE how hot do you have the water? I am thinking of purchasing an inline heater as at the moment I don't use one. Does it make that much difference to the end results.

HI MATT the hotter the better imo , cuts down on your cleaning time and makes better job  ,go for the v2 heater loads better than the rest

Matt, if you are using microsplitters it is not necessary to have hot water, as the breaking down of the soil is performed at the agitation stage. If you are using normal detergents then it is better to use heat as part of the cleaning pie. A heat exchange unit is the best way to get the heat you need with a portable hwe unit, as cleaning co has already suggested the v2 is a good option, there are other units available as well depending on your budget.

Thanks for the reply guys, if i go for an inline heater it will probably be one from masterclean ive heard these are good and can get a deal on one. All i have been using at the mo is hot water from the tap i know this aint very hot but it would take all day to keep boiling a kettle.

Hi Matt,

I have had a Masterclean inline heater for 2 weeks now. It was recommended to me by a trusted source, when I asked the same question you did.

I have raved about it elswhere. It is absolutely the Mutts Nuts . I used to fill the Diamondback up with buckets of hot water from the tap but It was pretty much cold at the end of 50feet.

The first time I put the Masterclean heater in line I was amazed, the water was piping hot at the end of 50 feet of hose, even hotter when only using 25feet. It is definatley one of my best buys since starting up (and I've had a few good deals!) I bought it on Ebay for a fraction of the V2 steamate.

I have also run it continuously for up to three hours and it just keeps pumping out hot solution. I am going to measure the temp at the end of 50feet of hose and post the result when I get a chance but it is Hot, not scalding, but HOT,

I have seen a big improment in cleaning and drying times since I put it inline and I'm even considering buying a back up to have in the van whilst they're still going on Ebay. I made up an angle bracket to attach it to the porty at the back under the handle just as Prochem do with the heat n run.

BUY IT.......... if it's on EBay get bidding, if not phone Vernon at Masterclean, but get one, they are THAT good

Ive got the v2 and as Gary said it is brilliant, I used to leave mine in the van because I couldn't be bothered to set it up, but since I've started using it on a regular basis and on repeat visits to some jobs that I never used to use it on I have really noticed the difference it makes, Andy

my ninja v2  pumps out steam at 100ft   my mytee/rhino  2000 watt built in heaters dont     they maybe bit more money but the v2 is lot better

I'm not disputing that the V2 is an excellent heater, probably the best on the market, I've heard glowing reports about them not just from you two but many other people so they must be good.

At what I paid for my Masterclean new the V2 is about 5x more expensive and I only have 50 feet of hose at the moment, so for value for money the Masterclean is excellent and not that far behind the V2 in performance.

 Matt, if you can get one cheap then go for it you'll not be dissapointed. The V2's are like Hens teeth to find second hand. A mate of mine did get a hold of one a few months back and paid £200 + delivery, a bargain but nearly twice what I paid for mine!

i have had both the v2 and the masterclean  adam is talking about the v2 is much better admittedly but who wants to steam carpets !?. adam has done the wise thing and spent a fraction of what the v2 cost and it meets his needs. also i understand from other people who have had the v2 that repair costs are a bit on the high side . for someone upgrading to an inline heater for the first time the masterclean is a good choice

I've got a V2 and if you accidentally touch the valve when picking up the wand or stair tool it is too hot to hold - so what comes out of the jets would probably scald.

If you get one make sure you drain it after use and dont let it freeze as it would probably be completely knackered.

I know that on ebay you can get some really good buys i kinda bought my machine through ebay in a way lol might sound confusing i know lol. I think i got my machine at a very good price and because my machine came through masterclean that is why i can get a heater of them abit cheaper been told £160 is that cheap mate? not sure how much the v2's are etc haven't done much looking into them yet?
