I dont think that was anything special i have been doing most of them techniques for years. I have seen guys before doing plate glass windows in loads of sections and that method is actually slower than doing the whole pain at once.

One thing for sure you cant keep that pace up all day every day, You will burn out in a matter of months, how do i know been there done that , always moving at 100mph.

The wet a pane while squeegieng the next pane is a very good technique to use on long runs of patio doors, I have a nursing home where the doors are about 10 panes wide and i always use that technique on them.

haha i actually had a go at the circular squeegying technique after i watched the terry burrows demo clip last week....i can almost do it (hope no one in the houses saw me trying :-[)

i agree with dave though..i dont think doing a large pane in sections would be as quick as doing it in one go...that bloke took a long time to do that window didnt he! and i also agree you would burn out big time doing that sort of speed all the time..even for one day, i reckon if i could do it like that id be knackered by the end of the day lol

I would also agree, but I think it was all being done for the camera, and it did show really good skills from him.
He varied what he was doing showing slightly differing techniques.

Was good to watch.

Great video.

The chap soaping up one window and squeeging the next off was great.

I tend to do that every now and then but not quite that quick.

He didn't detail either and i now his applicator hit the edges.
Wonder if there was any runs after he went or maybe he detailed it but just didn't show that part.

thats what i thought!

i found on a few windows though, that you can get away without doing the edges if they have the putty painted over neatly..if you know what i mean  e.g so the paint sort of forms a border around the pane, then your squeegie goes over the painted part and leaves the wet on the paint and not on the glass :)
