It seems all the posts are going on about how much faster wfp is opposed to trad.

Now i do agree i think most of the time it is but to me it my safety i like. I spent all my working life with ladders. I go to work knowing my chances of having a accident have been greatly reduced. If others wish to remain trad thats cool but on the list of pro's that comes with wfp & for me its at the top is my safety.

Whats your thoughts?

Must admit the safety aspect does register but then I have read posts saying that even with wfp you sometimes have to get on a ladder.Safety and accessibility for me are the big plusses for wfp but I get the impression that the best way to approach window cleaning is to utilise both methods as and when either are required to get the best result safely.

Of coarse, I had to get my ladders out 5 times for access, so i need my ladders.

I cant see how someone can wfp only, in my oppinion they go together, best of both worlds with safety.

appreciate the sensible and honest comment there macc,my view is you ideally could use both trad and wfp and decide which to use as you do your work.

I would say given a choice most window cleaners would like to have a pure water system of some sort but for some its cost prohibitive and for others they just dont want to deal with the hassle of checking this and calibrating that and all the other little things that seem to go along with it, theres one thing you can be sure of your ladder will start in the morning

As a company using wfp kit, yes, we still need ladders, but only occassionally. This is differenet from going up & down one day in day out.
I was canvassing a while back, when a new client casually mentioned that his father used to be a window cleaner. It turned out that he had fallen off died the previous year after 40 years as a window cleaner.
This thread involves a very valid point. Why take the risk when there is a viable alternative?

Good point Pat. I run a Tucker (di only) for me its great, its not brain testing which is right up my street as there's varisteam, pump, filter to pump to clean now & again & di resin, its a simple set up so if i can keep on top of it anyone can, even Squeaky.

Since i've switched to wfp which is coming up for 10 months, i've completed my work on time every 4 weeks, so for me its paying for itself. Also i lease mine, no big money up front but the extra payment is covered.

I just feel us wfpers go on about the speed & loads of extra money it earns (me included sometimes) but forget to mention the other good points. So the likes of Squeaky & Co all come out guns blazing.
