I have never understood why so many people have said this....... why would customers complain about wfp?

if you educate all of your customers about the benefits of water fed poles they shouldnt be against it and if they are dont clean their windows.......there are more people around who will have their wndows cleaned with wfp than by ladders.

I have not cleaned one window by ladders in 2 years and have not lost one customer because i clean with wfp.

Why would they complain? If you are using 000 water and you scrub and rinse youll never get a bad job done.

You explain the ins and outs of how it works so that shouldnt be a problem?

Most of my residential customers are on 3 or more floors and not one of them would ever use a window cleaner on a ladder again

you invest in wfp for a reason ............   you have a niche market for people who cant get their windows cleaned because the chap who cleans their neighbous cant reach half of them as they are awkward windows so thats where you use your wfp without any one complaing because they will allways use you because of that fact.

Easyclean, I think you will find that there is a fast growing niche market for trad window cleaners, as many customers are unhappy with wfp, from wet carpets and patios, spots and runs, to the people who cannot stand to see so much water being wasted just to have their windows cleaned, especially in the middle of a drought! ;)

Yes ,most buildings are about 10ft a floor so your talking about a 60ft ladder which I believe would be illegal over there and if its not it should be , its just to big too heavy and to awkward to use , there are lots of easier ways like rope access or cherry picker or even wfp(dont know dont use one). why?

I do hope you dont buy food or drinks from a super market or goto the pub as i think you would find that these people waste more water producing the things you eat and drink than i do washing windows.

Wasting water ? im on a meter so i pay for every single drop i use

Which people have you been talking to?

If a customer had old windows which could leak you wouldnt clean them with water fed poles thats down to how your trained and the knowledge you have.

Runs ???????? how do you get runs from a water fed pole??????????????? detergents cause runs do you get runs on your windows when it has rained? no because water fed poles use near enough exactlly the same type of water.

Spots from where ????operator error and not enough knowledge on how to use the equipment properlly.

And back to your drought excuse..... water fed poles are ok to use its an essential part of our business so they are ok to use.

Look again at h&s regarding working at height because if your using ladders only your breaking all the regulations going.

It STATES that on producing your risk assesment on a house, shop, pub whatever you are cleaning commercial or residential you Have to use another alternative before you use a ladder to clean thoses windows.

Dont come out with the excuse you dont want a water fed pole system because you dont like it with all these excuses because beleive me H&s wont wear that one.

My pole system was purchased through Tucker Poles who are also Aqua Factors a water treatment company who specialise in treating water ,how it responds after being treated so if they are selling these water fed poles they must know that they clean glass without all the excuses you have just put up on this thread.

i clean traditional but on old painted windows, ones with big gaps because the water will leak in.

Easyruns...... it's not just user error. It just happens sometimes.

I've seen horrible results from very good window cleaners.
It's unreliable equipment.

Trad is on the rise, and people will be paying more to have it done by hand very soon..... ;)

You might be, if you're crap with a squeegee.
I however am not.

I don't want another argument because you think you're really fast at making spots.

Same old, same old...... ::)

squeeky I can promise you I'm probably faster than you with a squeegee, I say this because I work 2 handed applicator followed by squeegee, much like turbo terry, just not that quick although I reckon with a bit of practice I could maybe have a go at beating him.

I'm far faster with wfp than I am with trad and I know no other trad wcer who can keep pace with me all day when I work trad.
