Persian/Oriental Rugs

Hi all, is there a difference between Persian Rugs & Oriental Rugs (apart from the countries) and can these be cleaned with HWE??

There have been some excellent threads on here recently and in the past on oriental rugs, with some very experienced guys explaining their differing methods and the pitfalls. Do a search on oriental rugs.

I would also recommend googling for companies that deal in rugs. There is a huge amount of info available. Their are quite a few books on amazon but these are aimed at collectors and are not cheap. Finally once you've got some knowledge visit some proper dealers' shops and pick their brains.
