Hello People,

i would like to rack your brains for a couple or minutes please. I have been asked to quote for a commercial job, and it is bigger than anything I have done yet.

It will be done with WFP, and access is no problem, apart from a couple of awkward little situations, which you probably see.

The main quesion I want to ask is "What would you charge?". All glass that can be seen, included the black opaque glass is to be cleaned. The porch close up shows how awkward the access, not only to the porch, but also to the window behind, is. Any ideas on how to clean that well?

All assistance, and advice gratefully received.

Sorry about the fading and zooming effects, I don't seem to be able to switch them off.

This place has not been cleaned for 6 months, therefore I have said that there is likely to be a higher charge for first clean. Also, it will be cleaned every 2-3 months (recommendations on that?). Unfortunately some of the frames are starting to oxidise, I have stated this to the owner. I need to clean the frames aswell, because as you can see they are worse than the windows in some cases. I will obviously have to use a very high flow rate to ensure a quality clean.

I am thinking region of £450 for first clean, and £350 for 2 monthly clean. What do you think? Am I being too optimistic?

I am a little concerned about the glass porch areas, as access to the roof is restricted by the girder on top, would I be better doing these areas by hand off steps?

  Also offer him a price t clean all the buildings cladding while you are at it.

That might work, but for two reasons:

1. I'm away sunday, and this wants doing by next Thurs

2. Its a 24hr business.

RE. Cladding: Thats a possibility, however not quite sure how many weeks it would take me!!

Is everyone feeling a bit shy, or is there another reason nobody has given me a price?

I just want some opinion from some of the more experienced on here that are used to doing commercial work. I have already sent my quotation, MS & RA to be reviewed, and hopefully I will hear back tomorrow. However, I just want to know if my price was in the right ball park or not! I guess I'll know if I get the job, and once I've actually completed it.

 I priced at £450.00 then i read your message so you have it spot on !! But try and keep it up there don't be too cheap !! Canopy not a prob just wfp it, and leave the top off it, nightmare with those steels in the way...£450.00 I would say is spot on..but depends where you live.

Thats made me feel at bit more at ease. However, is that based on a regular clean? I only ask, as I have quoted 500 for the first clean, then 350 every 8 weeks??

As for the canopy, I would love to leave the top, but thats where most of the muck is, so I don't think I could get away with that!

Yeah go for £500. intial clean then £450.00, as far as the

top of the canopy....you could blast it with a pressure

washer (on low obviously) but if not chuck a couple of

buckets of water over it  ....coz you will make more of a

mess if you try it trad. If questioned about only £50.00

discount for repeat work, tell them every 8 wks is like an
initial clean again.....

But if they have it every 4 wks price
comes down to £350.00 and once again coz you will be so much faster on site.... offer them free spot cleans on the entrance every week or every other day (depends on how close you work to this site)  but only on second option....good luck buddy.
