« on: September 12, 2006, 03:44:44 pm »
Hi guys and girls
Just built my third website for members of the cleanitup forum. www.eezeecleaningsolutions.co.uk www.yourcleaningfairies.co.uk and www.aqua-powerclean.co.uk. If anyone needs a cheap site to get up and running please get in contact. I would appreciate any comments on what you think of these sites however harsh they maybe. THANKS Karl

Hi Art,

As Karl will probably know, getting listed on google can take a few months, for guaranteed immediate listing adwords is a must, Karl ive just viewed source on the eezzzee site and I think you need to put some meta tags in the head, as this will help for search engine inclusion.

Hi
The price does not include site submission using adwords if it did the cost would be much higher. I just build the website and advise and help the customer with site submission.

Thanks

Hi Karl,

Meta tags are really important, including them is a very simple process, I think once you have built a site with the website building program/s you use, you should then amend/add the tags this will then give the site/s a greater chance of being listed on the numerous search engine's, your own site has fairly reasonable meta tags the others mentioned dont, this could be down to the others being built with a certain macromedia program, yours with frontpage 6.0

regards

BSF ;D

No problem Karl,

I hope i'm not coming across across as a know it all, but I have a bit of experience with html programming, I have dreamweaver and a few others but haven’t got the patience or time to learn how to use them, I learnt how to write them from scratch.

I was always taught that without html knowledge building websites with web building software is the same as learning to ride a bike that has flat tyres with a blindfold on.

Its all more of a hobby/interest to me.

good luck ;D

Regards

BSF

Hi BSF it's just a hobby hence my prices. I am always open to learn though i did read that meta tags are not necessary that important now in search engine submission (http://searchenginewatch.com/showPage.html?page=2167931)

I thank you for your advice though and i have been teaching myself html as well.

Karl,

When I learnt html, we spent about 1 week learning how to optimise site listings on search engines/directories, was this a waste of time? no it wasn’t!  I couldn’t comment on your prices Karl, if meta tags are not important why have them included on your own site then? why does Mr Sullivan in 2002 write so much about them if they are not important?

I see that as from today you have now added the very important keyword meta tag to the ezzee site, listing common keywords.

I am always open to learn new things like you are, but in my opinion always include meta tags in your sites, what harm is it doing......    answer... None ;D  2 minutes work ::)

you amended the tag, I’m happy my job is done.

Kind regards

BSF ;D
