Looking at putting together a customer news letter to send out every couple of months.
Does anybody else do them? if so do they work for you ? and were do you get your info from.

Dont do them myself but i know the Alltec ones all come from the web, if you get your hands on one you will see the web adresses under all the articles.

If i was doing one myself, i would find a student to do it for me. £20 a month for a hours cut and paste and a bit of typing in there own time is a nice little bonus for a broke student ;)

I actually know someone who i reckon would be good at it, if enough of you are interested in getting one done im sure i could arrange it for small fee ;D

Saying that my simple postcards seem to be working well for me, i think as long as you stay in touch they will come back. Seems a little poncy to me all this newsletter buisness dont think it really suits me.

It's funny but I jost posted mine today, I like poncy it works for me, I send out news letters quaterly and it's a good nudge to reffered custys, dont fill it with carpet stuff though mention local events etc I even put recipe's on or seasonal food's it makes for a better read, this edition has a cross word comp first 3 succefully to complete and return receives a 50% voucher

Dont get me wrong, i would get as poncy as it takes to get more cash. Its just iv found my simple postcards to work well, if i found the newsletter to be better then bring on the poncyness.

But the postcards work, and they suit me, so unless i am proved wrong think i will stick as i am.

I have recently joined fastrack, the kings of the newsletter, and if i see members getting better results than me with newsletters then im gonna start doing them.

Im sitting on the fence at the minute ;) but could easily be swayed

Jay, why quarterly? why not monthly?

And same to you Paul, when you do start why every couple month?

Aparently these things get a pretty reliable response every time you post them.
Iv been advised to do them monthly, anevery month = £3600ything less and aparently your missing out on alot of work.

Say you make £300 every time you post,

every other month = £1800
every month = £3600

Wich would you preffer?

Dan im going to start doing post cards and fridgemagnet drops in between and I also send out specials and refferal nudger letter's, but I dont like to hassle them too much, they will eventualy become blind to you if you bother them too much

Any one got all the answers yet, it no good when you create a crossword yourself you have no idea how hard it is, and the missis will crack anything

5000 postcards cost me £99
And thats enough to last forever, if anyone wants details of supplier just ask.

All i do is add adress and stamp, simple.

Was thinking of sending out bottle of spotter or deodouriser as christmas present, reckon it would cost a bit though, anyone do it?

Gotta be better than cards.

Hi Paul,

This is one of my main forms of income and is much cheaper than advertising. One job will pay for a mailshot

I only send two a year, one in spring and one a xmas.

I just remind custy's why they should have regular cleaning and the importance of booking early for xmas.

This brings in lots of work and also referals.

Did I send you a custy database that you can mail merge from?
