I usually work on Mondays, but I don't earn a penny. I'm usually doing admin. work, quotes, banking etc. etc.
As I employ my wife, I have to administer PAYE. It's the year end so I have to fill in some forms and send them off. This year I've done it "On Line". According to the Inland Revenue leaflet I've received, by eliminating the paperwork they are going to pay me £250 tax free And what's more, on a descending scale, over the next 4 years that will be made up to £825 in total. After that it will be compulsory without any financial incentive to do so.
So if any of you have to administer PAYE for 50 employees or less, or have to fill in paperwork for students, or for casual labourers who earn more than £100 in the year, this could be a very good way of getting paid for doing something you have to do anyway.
Safe and happy cleaning
