Do any of you use any of the ladder stabilisers, stand off etc?
Are they any good?
Cheers

Only used stabilisers until my confidence grew, to much hasstle and time consuming, but don't let my comments put you off, use them for H&S reasons. For the past eight years I have used a wooden wedge I keep in my top pocket, Never let me down yet.
Stand-off's I use for guttering all the time, so much safer than putting your ladder onto the guttering that is easy to slip from, and saves Damage to it aswell.

A stand off can often get you into a more comfortable work position especially if you are setting the ladder on the bottom sill to wash a tallish window or if its wide enough you can set it either side of a window to help you reach the top, Its not something I would use all the time but handy to have in the van for certain situations
