Has anyone used agency staff? What are the prices and any experiences? Can anyone use them?

We have used agency staff for builders cleans in the past.

However, ALL the high street agencies we have used have all said they have "cleaners".... ::)  ::)  ::) .....yea....right!! They usually cost something in the region of £8 - £10 per hour....plus VAT and for a minimium of 4 hours. Anything over the 8 hours.....that is time and half.

Very rare do they sent someone who has cleaned "properly" before.

However,  i have mentioned this in a previous posting, we had a few Polish girls.....who after a bit of training from myself and my team proved to be very good at their job, where hard working etc etc etc but had to make sure when i booked out agency cleaners that i asked for them by name.......otherwise they will send you the dreggs of society (couple of times have sent agency guys back.....think they must have picked them up from the streets......Not being horrible, but you have to think of the impression you are giving to your customers)

Obviously they are handy to used for emergencies etc, but you cant beat having your own teams.

Kind Regards

Tim

Hi,

Personally I woudnt bother with them!!

I know someone who does use them but she has been lucky. I did some research and spoke to my cliens, the definatley said they would like to have agency staff in their homes.

However I suppose for things like Builders Cleans, homes not occupied that would be ok, maybe I would consider using them then but for the regular domestic market, I wouldn't touch with a barge pole!!!

Still that's just my opinion!!!  Not everyone things the same.
