I have a contract stair cleaning business but want to expand into carpet/upholstery cleaning (too many eggs in one basket).
what advice/equipment/approach can anyone suggest?

You've asked quite a broad question which is probably why you've not yet had any replies. Have a good look around the forum as all the information you'll need is in here (it's just a case of finding it!)

Generally, it's the more specific questions that get most replies so once you've read through and you need more detail I'm sure you'll find you'll get a better response.
