Simbo

Personaly i wouldent worry about the filters as long as your output water is ok.

I assume you mean that it,s ok before d.i

Cheers Jeff

the thing is your output could still look ok even if your pre filters have had it. however your RO filters will die alot quicker!

best thing to do is contact ro-man and ask his advice. if filters are looking green though i would think they due a change.

simbo,

if your filter are green its either copper or bacteria. if its bacteria you will need to take all filters out and wash your housings with bleach or milton to kill the bacteria, if its copper then you probably have acidic water, do you get green stains under your bath or kitchen taps?.

to clean out your system take out all the filter and the membrane (check if its geen and/or slimy if it is then its bacteria) put it all back together with no filter or membrane, put 2 spoon fulls of bleach or milton in the first ftiler housing then turn on your water supply until water runs from the drain & pure pipes on your RO, then turn off the water. Your RO is now full of disenfectant. Leave for an hour or so and then turn the water back on anf run until the outles do not smell of bleac or milton. Re-fit new filters and/or membrane.
