Hi Jouk,

you simply send us all of your dimensions you require including where you want you output barbs and input barb/lid, we can work out your capacity for each size and shape and the tank is then fabricated to your requirements with internal baffles.

This is not a new idea, others do a similar thing but we thought it was so useful that it was worth making readily available.

The tank in the picture is actually quite small, so it has relatively thin sidewall construction. They are very strong and tough. They can be made out of any colour plastic.

I think that Tucker uses a very similair method to construct their black tanks.

steve its the first time for me,    i have never seen anyone advertising this before.    i think its just the way gardiners have highlighted it,   and it stands out.   so if it cought my attention,  who else will it draw  attention to . went to the link you sent, could not see anything stating you make these.

On welmac's there are acouple of images showing black tanks, one is a round, in a back garden  it is a bulk storage tank it has a compartment on the front for to house to RO, the other two are in vans & trailers. They just look like black but they have been made to measure and have internal baffles etc.

yep, we make our tanks to measure and have done for the past couple of years  ;D whats the point of just having a couple of choices on tank size when there are loads of different vehicles that these systems get put into???

some prefer low leval wider tanks, then others go taller, slimmer tanks.

whatever size/shape you need, then we can make it!.....................(just didnt see the need to make a big song and dance about it, but maybe we should of  ;) )

Matt,

Ours would be as the material will not leach into the water, but I cant vouch for any others.

to be honest we considered trying a few of these tanks - does anyone do a guarantee with theirs?  How durable are they?  How much are they?

The material used in these tanks is primarily used for drinking water tanks not WFP work.

And yes they are much more expensive, but they are completely tailored to your needs. I do not currently use one myself as the standard tanks suit my needs well, but when I change vehicles next I will probably use one as it will help me design my work space to my exact storage needs.

The firm who makes these for us has been making these type of tanks for 10 years and makes tanks for a lot big names including 'Ionics' so they come with years of experience (ie they would build a tank that was inherently weak regardless of what you requested) and years of people using them.

Really it is no big deal though, they are only water tanks after all!

Have a nice night everyone

Alex

just want to apologise in case my comment about a "song and dance" sounded like it was a dig at you alex, it wasnt meant to be  :-X.

i was just stating that whilst these tanks are a good idea, i didnt make any point/comment about them on my site as i thought it was an idea that was already in use by many, so didnt make the "song and dance" about them.

and they do look like good tanks!

and matt........ i think you could go places with that song mate  ;)
