if its a 1000ltr IBC please DO NOT FIT IT IN A VAN!! , its extremely dangerous.

You will need to buy a tank that has baffels fitted to stop the water slopping about, one without could make your vehicle very unstable when cornering.

Not sure if you can have baffles inserted, or if they are only inserted when made new. worth enquiring about someone must do it.
Always do your best - It will pay off in the end...

If an IBC tank is not safe to put in a van is a 650 litre capacity tank the largest you could buy?

You can buy a D shaped 900lit tank. They are not that high but take up most of the back of your van.
