anybody ever requested to come off a water meter?
« on: August 21, 2006, 08:50:24 pm »
Hi there, I'm now producing my own ro water at home, on a meter ( have been a few years at my own request ). Its a no brainer! I will be using more water. Just wondered if anyones been in the same position?
I will ring water company to see if its possible though I think they maybe curious as to my reason seeing as I'm in a flat and probably consume less water than if I were on rates. So you can see the problem especially with the drought orders in the south. Figured I could say I'd been sub letting and now I'm thinking of selling up so want to come off a meter. So any advice/ opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Simon

Everyone i know who is on a meter has said that once you are on one you can't come off.
I think there are a few on this forum that are on a meter and say it dosen't cost that much each week to run your RO.

Thanks
I have a mate who works for the water company, in conservation.
She's given me a number to ring, I will try it tomorrow, though she thinks you have a year to come off again, I will let ya know how I get on.
