Musty smell
« on: March 29, 2004, 08:01:48 pm »
I have an enquiry from a lady that has had some items in store for 2 years. A 3 pce suite and several ‘oriental rugs’ mostly unused at the time of store. She now has them out of store and they are very musty. I have never had much success desmelling things like that.

Any suggestions ?

She is going ape at the storage depot and they  have basically said ‘tough!’

Trevor,

Normal cleaning techniques tend to be somewhat problematic in these circumstance. The best bet is to hire a powerfull ozone generator and shut them in a small room with it for 24hrs.
