Naughtly children
« on: August 01, 2006, 03:06:19 pm »
Hi ,

I don't know what anyone else thinks, but this forum seems to be having threads from all differnt people attacking each other. When I first came across this site, some 18 months ago, everyone was intetested in helping each other out, now it seems like a bunch of naughty children bullying each other.

Were has the friendly, helpful people gone?
Have some of the bullies been frightened off and feel uncomfortable about posting something relevant.

Its a real same, seesm like some of you have picked up the CMS tone and you are the one who drove him out?

Yep, agree completely.

And that's the cue for the latest BSF incarnation to demand for my banning.

You can post what you like to me or anyone ;D

Hi

I hope my posts have been and continue to be helpful to those that need it, or ask for it.

I try not to get involved in slagging matches but always up for a bit of banter (Len, BSF).

In fact me and BSF had a friendly banter a while back, then he emailed for some help which I freely gave.

Some people get indignant at these kind of posts but I really see no need, get on with doing your business. I am at the stage now after almost 3 years to grow my business so I am working on it, not in it (as I am at the moment) but making thatvtransition is a difficult choice as it always comes down to staff, vans, advertising which can cost big bucks...

Anyway rant over

Regards

I find this forum the worst for bickering, insults and rudness. However, there are helpful and experienced members willing to give advice in an appropriate way.

..but not many...

Hi Martin

Like you none of the 'banter' bothers me - actually it makes me laugh so I don't mind it although sometimes it gets a bit boring!

You say your business has been going 3 years and you are trying to move forward now - I am just being really nosey but what is your turnover at present and how much growth do you want to achieve, in what time period?

Don't answer if you think the question is out of order - like I said I am just being nosey, I like to know where other people are and what their motavations and plans are.

Hi all
If you look at the window cleaning forum or the carpet cleaning one, you ask a question & get an answer, it is also quite friendly.
Unfortunately contract cleaning is a business where if you have good ideas for keeping customers happy you keep it to yourself. It gives you the edge.
I think that people who are willing to give advice in this industry get quite cross when people come on here and say ' hello I want to be a cleaner, what do I need?'. I always found that people such as CMS made it simple. Ask a direct question, get an answer, ask how to run your company, on yer bike!
There are still people on here who will put in their comments on virtually every thread. Good for them, they keep this thing going. The whole point of this forum (i believe) is to get advice on a specific problem ie 'how do I write a contract of employment'. I will tell you how to make one, where you could find an example of one, but i will not hand over my version. It cost me money to get, why should I hand that on for free. I struggled at the start, it is not easy, so why should I shoot myself in the foot & hand out everything that seperates me from everyone else.

Regards
Tim

I,ve not been on this  site for a while for same reason as mentioned, you ask Q you just get slaged off or made to look thick when I come back on just for some advice, as I EXPECTED didn,t get a sensible reply, as far as I can see this site is just dying as time goes on :(

I think this guy is short of a full shilling. There are many mental health institutes where we could put him. Maybe the Moderators will spare us the thought by BANNING him (probably for the tenth time)

Just looked up on his web site. He's a splash n dash £30 for a room £10 stainguarding. He's probably miffed about other successful cleaners on here. O dear 'Essex No 1 Carpet Cleaners', with an attitude like yours, I don't think so!

Another thread that has been cursed by insults and rudness

Can I ask you a serious question without you taking offence, because I’ve just read your previous posts.

Why do you constantly moan?

Well it is nice in Paris at this time of the year.. hint hint,

Au revoir,

Yes, we have the same crest 'By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen' - we have it on our vehicles and stationary.

I have only seen the Queen 3 times in 2 years. Once she walked past me in a corridor and the only thing that came out of my lips were ' hello mam, hope your keeping well' she replied 'yes thank you' smiled and carried on walking.

We just go in, do the job and out we come. We always have a guard as an escort and we have to stay within the 'working boundaries'.

Can't give anything else away for obvious reasons.

Bet our Queen loves you doesn’t she telling everyone on the internet that you clean her carpets, you better be careful MI5 might have a mole on here  ;D ;D

You are funny ;D

This is a joke. Your another one who can't behave. You've been banned so many times before but keep coming back like a rash. You can't seem to post without offending someone.

Again, a mental hospital is too good for you!

I notice that no one (apart from me) replies to your posts - which you've desperatly made 4 in 1 hour - doesn't that tell you something?

Haven’t been up for a while. This place gets like a zoo sometimes but without the fences, however it always seems to remain entertaining.

Different cultures, different opinions, different personalities and lets not forget the different reasons for being on here. Put it all together and what do you get ?    A MESS... isn’t it great  ;D (otherwise known as the real world).

Don’t kid yourself if you think everyone on here is about cleaning, that’s just the excuse.

Hate the arguing, or course you don’t, otherwise why start yet another thread all about it again. Lets face it the only people who complain about somebody else’s argument are those who want their own one.  ;)

Just read back through some of the classics and particularly the follow on posts to see who really fuels the tiff's (and all so innocent)

Have Fun

PS. Cleantime Europe
I thought BSF was just stating the obvious and came to the same conclusion as I did from reading your post. I don’t doubt what you say, just if this is the case then is it wise to be talking about it on  a public forum?

Fox:
I think Martin is from Brighton as in his profile and if his motive is like most, then Im guessing it would be Money.
Perhaps Martin could email you with all his details if he chooses to so its more private for both of you? Just an idea ;)

Hi

Yep, DP I have emailed Fox and received a reply.

Haven't spoken to you for ages DP, how's things? Hope you're busy.

Basically what I have done is spent an extra £500 for yell.com with 3 enhanced listings, I am about to start putting out 5000 leaflets a month (£140+ VAT) also hoping to put out targeted letters...

lets see?

Hi Martin
Your right it has been a while. I tried one enhanced listing last year, but didn’t get anything that turned into money back from it, just a couple of domestic calls which we don’t do. However I did kind of expect that, and I know yell.com works better in other areas and different fields. I hope your new campaign does the trick.

Yup very busy at the mo with a little rush of growth to the South for me and with my partner in the Midlands. Spreading your wings 100 miles, has a way of filling your week quickly :)

I wonder what ever happened to Musicman
