Extreme 25
« on: January 30, 2026, 01:59:27 pm »
Out cleaning yesterday and I was using my 6 year old Extreme 25' and top pole snapped in the middle. Can't complain as I thought it was indestructible and finished with my Extreme 22. Will buy a replacement and see how long the other poles last. Folk complain about the cost of Extreme but its easy on the shoulders and well worth the money as far as I am concerned.

People will complain about anything and everything.
Although as an extreme user myself, I’m very, very lucky to get 18 months from section 1, 2 and 3
This seems to be in line with what other poster’s experience.
6 years use is the sort of post I’d expect from you.

if it's lasted you 6 years that would tell me that you don't do much window cleaning ?

It’s not his only pole though.

He doesn't.....he seems to have far too much equipment/gear for a one man band and does a multitude of other jobs other than window cleaning.

He's basically a jack of all trades. He ll be a very handy man to know though and will be a credit to his local community.

Buy a replacement?. I thought you had replacements for replacements?. With how much you buy that you dont actually need.

But he’s only got 100 customers so it’s hardly being used a normal person would do that in 2-3 days that’s why it’s lasted so long .

I have plenty of Extremes but I use the 25' once or twice a day max but its still lasted 6 years. Don't have any spares because this is the first time it has let me down but will be buying a few top pole spares in the next few weeks.

My Xtreme 47 is 12 years old (at least)and even has the old style clamps on but it only gets used around 10 times a month!

Would you buy another if it broke, or just dump those jobs?

It won't break though as the bigger sections are virtually indestructible. If any of the top sections snap ill replace with a spare section from one of my other shorter poles.

That's what I do with my 47. It has the old stepped sections except the top three which gets replaced with old sections when I replace my everyday pole.
It's a game of three halves!

Still use a 25 extreme with three bottom sections that still got the steel banding on, them sections last forever and never need clamp adjusting.
