I usually get my batteries off BBL batteries they have always replaced a faulty battery right up to the expiry date no question asked , even very expensive AGM 200 amp ones when we used them they replaced 4 that wouldn’t hold charge after 3 years use

Went to Halfords in December as it was close and I needed a new battery on my Transit Custom. The guy said they couldn’t fit it ,as it’s to difficult .

There not really a garage.I wouldn’t use for servicing and m.o.t’s
I also went to Halfords with transit custom to have a battery fitted ,the guy wanted to take the drivers seat out out to fit the battery which is under the seat,as he couldn’t get the old battery out,I had to show him how to raise the seat to enable him to lift battery out, when it came to paying I refused to pay for fitting as I told them I had to show there fitter how to fit it

If the was only rated to say 2000kg maybe they thought it too close but i doubt it. Probably more likely they felt it was an unsecure load, i know they can refuse to test if things might move around when on the rollers or maybe if they felt the load made it hard to inspect your suspension or bushes.

Personally i wouldnt take a van with water in anyway but there you go.

Most employees who work there are a bit thick. I bought a pair of premium axle stands for the price of the cheap ones because they were on the wrong shelf 👀
We look at them, they look through them.
