New truck
« on: December 22, 2025, 09:22:58 pm »
When I first moved out here I bought a truck, 90,000 miles on the clock with pretty good reviews. Anyway after 6 months, 2 days after the warranty expired, the transmission fell apart.

It went in to the garage to have a new one fitted, $6,500.

A month later that one fell apart. Repaired as that had a years warranty.

Last week that one fell apart. It’s in the garage being repaired, under warranty.

Today I went in to Vancouver to buy this. Pretty much brand new.

It’s got acres of space in the back, I really want a vehicle now where I can keep everything; pressure washer/ gutter vac and window gear.

Anybody want a GMC with a new transmission?

4.3

The other one was a 5.3

If you look at the above pic, to the left, near the yellow sign, there’s another truck. That’s the kind I had before. GMC Sierra.

I really wanted a Transit Custom, like I used to have in the UK.  But they are sooooo expensive here. They start at about £40,000.  The one above was £26,000.
